Event Description

AI had made resource discernment more critical than ever. Students ask more and more why they can't just ask ChatGPT, and they're no longer sold on the canned responses about information integrity and source evaluation. What they do respond to are the ethos of the deep web and the street cred of a paywall. This workshop will outline the new research sales pitch for media specialists in the age of AI.

About the presenter: Jenny Andres is a Media Specialist at North Hunterdon High School and an Adjunct English Professor at Mercer County Community College and Rowan College at Burlington County. She has worked in the library field since 2009, and has held positions in military, public, school and academic libraries. She holds an MLIS, an MEd and is completing her dual MFA/MA. When she isn't working, you can find her trail running, writing disturbing stories, or reading Wings of Fire with her ten-year-old-daughter.
